This dramatic footage shows the arrest of a gunman who burst into a Dutch television station and demanded to be allowed on air.
The man, wielding a pistol, got into the offices of the Dutch national broadcaster NOS earlier this evening but was quickly arrested.
Wearing a black suit, tie and glasses, the gunman had got into the NOS studios after threatening a guard with a firearm.
Footage shown on Dutch TV showed him then pacing around the studio with the pistol behind his back, just before police stormed into the room.
He is seen raising his hands and dropped his weapon before he is forced to the floor at gunpoint.
Another video, filmed from outside the recording studio, shows six officers rushing towards the doors before making heir way in and pinning the suspect to the floor behind what appears to be a newsreaders's desk as they shout orders of "Drop i! Drop it! And get on your knees!".
They then handcuffed the man, and detained him.
There have been no immediate reports of injuries, and police have not yet commented on the incident.
At 7pm UK time - 8pm Dutch time - NOS was broadcasting a message that read: "In connection with circumstances, no broadcast is available at this time".
Jan de Jong, director of the NOS, told national radio that "someone got into the building" and that the man had been detained.
The Thursday evening edition of the NOS news was not broadcast.
Dutch media reports that the NOS studios, in the central Dutch town of Hilversum, were evacuated.
